The HEAVY BULLHEAD is a 2D remote head designed for demanding applications. With a max payload up to 20 kg, it's suitable for use in a professional environment with fully equipped, heavy broadcast and cinema cameras.
Its reinforced construction and perfectly crafted machinery make HEAVY BULLHEAD extremely precise. It's ideal for creating special effects where repetitive and accurate movement is essential.
The head can be used as a standalone device, mounted on a tripod or any other support. But in motion it shows its best.
HEAVY BULLHEAD works perfectly as a remote head for cranes and sliders. Together with the ATLAS MODULAR slider, it creates an unified 3D motion control system.
Our new lineup of devices uses heavy-duty LEMO connectors. The new design includes power and data connections in one cable, which allows you to work faster and safer - without tangling the unnecessary wires.
The connectors are compatible with a wide range of AC adaptors, from small chargers for one device to large power bricks with communication modules designed for big setups.
The HEAVY BULLHEAD is equipped with our unified head mount, compatible with SLIDEKAMERA's heavy sliders (the TITAN slider and ATLAS MODULAR), as well as our jibs and tripods. This ensures that the head is mounted firmly and allows to attach the unit safely in an upside-down configuration.
Each camera setup is different. We allow you to control your lenses in many different ways, and we offer three different Lens Control Systems for our remote heads.
Our first integration with lens motors. Affordable and reliable PDMOVIE lens motors are a perfect match for the motion control system.
The PDMOVIE LCS system allows you to daisy-chain up to three motors and to control your focus, zoom and iris in full sync with all other axes in your Slidekamera rig.
The TILTA Nucleus-M system is a brand established on the market. If you're working with cine cameras, you probably already have a set of those, or at least you have worked with them before. They're precise and bulletproof. And compatible with our TILTA LCS system. You can directly plug the motors to the head and work with them using SK controllers or third-party software (Kairos, Slideye 2.0, Dragonframe, Polymotion, etc.). And if you like using your Tilta FIZ unit, you can keep using it, and the Slidekamera controllers will be able to keyframe all the values you set, e.g. on the focus knob. It's a perfect solution for bigger teams with professional focus pullers on set.
Slidekamera's new multi-system LCS allows using both PDMOVIE and TILTA systems. All you need is to plug an appropriate conversion cable (sold separately).
But its main feature is to use broadcast lenses with integrated servo motors. You can use both Fujinon and Canon lenses. The system will automatically calibrate the servos and allow you to operate focus, zoom and iris using the Kairos panel or any compatible software. In addition, you can keyframe all lens axes and play them back in sync with all Slidekamera devices.
All you need to work with a selected lens system is an additional converter cable, which allows proper connection and detection with a single, universal socket on the head.
With an optional network module (SLIDELINK 3.0), you can use Ethernet or Wi-Fi to connect a group of motion control devices with the controller (that may be the KAIROS controller, a PC with a DRAGONFRAME software or the SLIDEKAMERA's SLIDEYE 2.0 app).
You need only one Slidelink v3.0 for your set. Therefore we recommend using the one integrated into the PSU320E Power Adapter, as it gives you the cleanest and neatest wire connection. But for specific use cases, such as remote setups on large distances or using the head with a separate controller for the second operator, you may consider an additional network adapter for your head.
