SLIDEKAMERA drives in Dragonframe: CONNECTIONS


You can connect the SLIDELINK PRO to your computer through Wi-Fi or use the USB cable. Select the connection type to continue:


USB CONNECTION


1. Connect your SLIDEKAMERA devices to the SLIDELINK PRO adapter. Power up all devices. Connect the adapter to the PC via USB cable.


2. In Dragonframe go to Scene Settings. In the Connections tab, pick DMC-16 from the dropdown menu.


3. From the Location dropdown menu select USB Serial Port (the name and COM port number may be different on your configuration).


4. Click the CONNECT icon.


5. The software will connect to the SLIDELINK PRO adapter and detect all your devices.


6. After a successful connection, click the OK button to close the Scene Settings window.


7. Now you can add new axes in the Arc Motion Control Workspace.

Wi-Fi DIRECT CONNECTION


1. Install the Wi-Fi antenna on the SLIDELINK PRO and connect it to your SLIDEKAMERA devices using a HET-BUS cable (RJ-45). Do not connect the HET-BUS ports to the local network!
Power up all devices.


2. Turn on Wi-Fi on your computer. Select the network established by the SLIDELINK PRO adapter. You can find the SSID and the default password on SLIDELINK's housing.

3.  Run Dragonframe and go to Scene Settings. In the Connections tab, pick DMC-16 / TCP from the dropdown menu.


4.  In the ip:port field, type 192.168.4.1:55555 (the default IP address and port number).


5.  Click the CONNECT icon. The SLIDELINK's LED should change the colour to orange.


6.   The software will connect to the SLIDELINK PRO adapter and detect all your devices.


7.   After a successful connection, click the OK button to close the Scene Settings window.


7. Now you can add new axes in the Arc Motion Control Workspace.

LOCAL Wi-Fi NETWORK


You can use your local Wi-Fi to connect to the SLIDELINK PRO adapter. Note that the network has to use DHCP protocol to assign an IP address for the adapter, as the SLIDELINK PRO does not support a static IP addresses.


1. Install the Wi-Fi antenna on the SLIDELINK PRO and connect it to your SLIDEKAMERA devices using a HET-BUS cable (RJ-45). Do not connect the HET-BUS ports to the local network!
Power up all devices.


2. Go to the Config Page of the SLIDELINK PRO adapter. You can do that with your PC or a smartphone. Connect to the network established by the SLIDELINK PRO adapter. You can find the SSID and the default password on SLIDELINK's housing.

3. Use your web browser to go to 192.168.4.1 (you can find this default IP address on the SLIDELINK's housing).


4. On the Config Page, choose "Station" from the "Mode" dropdown menu.


5. Choose your local network SSID. If your network is hidden, type the SSID in the "Network Name (SSID)" field.


6. Enter your network's password and confirm by clicking "SAVE".


7. Reboot the Slidelink with the "RESTART" button at the bottom of the page.


8. Double-press the CONFIG button on the SLIDELINK PRO to cycle through modes. The Wi-Fi mode is indicated by the blue LED.
The SLIDELINK PRO connects to the network and obtains the IP address.

The Wi-Fi settings will be stored, and the adapter will connect to the local network each time you power on your SLIDELINK PRO (you don't have to repeat steps 2-8 each time you turn it on).
To return to the previous configuration, go to the config page. You can restore the device's factory settings by holding the CONFIG button until the LEDs start flashing.


9. To find the IP address of the SLIDELINK PRO, you can use your local network configuration, or use SLIDEKAMERA's simple tool to find devices in the network. Download, unpack and run the DEVICE FINDER software.



10. The DEVICE FINDER will automatically search for SLIDEKAMERA devices in the network. Select your SLIDELINK PRO and click the "Copy IP address" button. The IP address and port number are copied to the clipboard. You will paste them later in Dragonframe.
Now, you can close the DEVICE FINDER window.

11.  Run Dragonframe and go to Scene Settings. In the Connections tab, pick DMC-16 / TCP from the dropdown menu.


12. In the ip:port field, paste the address and port number from the clipboard.


13.  Click the CONNECT icon. The SLIDELINK's LED should change the colour to orange.


14.   The software will connect to the SLIDELINK PRO adapter and detect all your devices.


15.   After a successful connection, click the OK button to close the Scene Settings window.


16. Now you can add new axes in the Arc Motion Control Workspace.
